Mount Batur Sunrise Trek

Very early pick-up from your hotel in South Bali areas. Enjoy the quiet pre-dawn drive to Mount Batur while resting and preparing for the trek ahead.

Arrive at the Mount Batur trekking starting point. Meet your experienced local guide, receive flashlights, and get a final briefing before beginning the ascent under the stars.

Start the moderate 2-hour trek to the summit. Hike through volcanic terrain with your guide's assistance. The trail is well-marked but can be steep in sections. Take breaks as needed and enjoy the starry sky.

Arrive at the summit just in time for sunrise. Watch as the sky transforms with vibrant colors and the sun rises above the clouds. Capture breathtaking photos of Mount Agung, Lake Batur, and the surrounding caldera.

Enjoy a hot breakfast prepared by your guide at the summit. Typically includes boiled eggs, sandwiches, bananas, and hot coffee or tea while enjoying the magnificent views.

Begin the descent back to the starting point (about 1.5 hours). Optionally visit the volcanic crater or black sand areas to learn about the volcano's geology and recent eruptions.

Optional stop at Toya Devasya or other natural hot springs at the base of Mount Batur. Relax in warm mineral-rich waters with views of Lake Batur (additional cost, not included).

Stop at a local coffee plantation in the Kintamani area. Learn about Balinese coffee production and enjoy a complimentary tasting of various local coffees including the famous Luwak coffee.
